We call all of the women from the former Soviet Union “Russian women". For a long time, the Soviet Union was a closed country. Westerners knew little about the people who lived there. Cold war propaganda taught us that Russian women were grim, sturdy and humorless women washing laundry by hand in the cold river. Only in the 90’s, after the fall of the iron curtain, was the world able to see and appreciate the real beauty of Russian women. Now the doors of the countries of the former Soviet Union are open wide for everyone and Russian women have a chance to travel all over the world. Many now wish to start new lives in other countries.

 What are Russian women really like?

If you were to go to any Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian or Moldavian city, you would see beautiful, feminine, elegant and sexy women everywhere.  In spite of their modest income, they are able to take care of themselves and stay in shape.  They would never think of wearing sneakers to work or on a date.  They are used to putting on make-up, wearing elegant clothes and high heels everyday.  Of course every woman is an individual and unique in her own way, but, because they were all raised in the same environment, Russian women are, in general, all kind, feminine, patient, friendly, sympathetic, tidy and hardworking and they care about their families very much. They are smart, well educated and well behaved. Family is the most important thing in their lives!  Russian women aren’t spoiled and they aren’t trying to be the head of the family.  They aren’t trying to compete with their husband or with his career.  In Russian families, the man is traditionally the head of the household. 

Having a respectable, caring, faithful husband who is able to support a family and help her raise their children, to love and be loved, to spend time and travel together, to care about her family, to have a sense of stability and financial security are what every Russian woman dreams of!  

Many Russian Women now live abroad in international marriages.  Their families are the envy of other men.  Many Western men like you are dreaming about having a Russian wife.
